Call for proposals on a competitive basis and in collaboration with the Cultural Exchange Commission, educational and scientific between Spain and the United States of America (Fulbright Commission) a scholarship for graduate studies in the United States of America in the academic year 2015-2016, mainly in the areas set out in the order PRE/1055/2010 of 23 April.
the endowment of the scholarship includes the following basic mappings:
to) 1.800,00 euro monthly allowance.
b) help travel for round-trip 1.200,00 euros.
c) the amount of the tuition, fees and compulsory health insurance from the University up to a maximum of 29.000,00 euros.
d) expenses of tuition, maintenance and accommodation to attend a course of pre-academic orientation, before joining the University of destination in the United States. This orientation course, funded by the Government of the United States, is organized on a proposal from the Organization in New York, the Institute of International Education (IIE), to facilitate the incorporation of Spanish scholars to American academic life.
e) insurance policy, disease and accidents of up to $100,000 of coverage, signed by the Government of the United States for the Fulbright scholars. Also administrative costs generated in the United States by the assistance service in general to the program will be financed by the Government.
f) a single allocation of 1.200,00 euros for costs of first installation and purchase of books.
in the case that the fellow was accompanied by the spouse or person with which hold an accredited similar relationship of affection, or person with which to attach a kinship of the first degree of consanguinity or affinity, shall receive the following mappings complementary if it remains with the internship during their stay in the United States(:
to) 120,00 euros per month for child support.
b) 50,00 euros per month for the subscription of insurance similar to that the fellow will enjoy.
c) 400.00 euros as single, in aid of travel-mapped.
in addition, the scholarship includes the following services by American management institutions:
to) support and advisory services through a network of regional offices in the United States during the period of the fellowship.
b) participation in seminars and invitations to cultural, scientific and otherwise, organized by the Fulbright program, according to the availability of funds from the Government of the United States.
c) orientation prior to departure from Spain.
d) issuance of the documentation necessary to obtain a visa ‘Exchange Visitor (J-1)’ and the corresponding to familiar companions in charge.
the indirect costs of the Fulbright Commission for the management of the grant will be financed in accordance with the provisions of the framework collaboration agreement between the National Institute of public administration and the Fulbright Commission, and may not exceed 6.930,00 euros.
to apply for the scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements:
to) be an officer of career of the subgroup A1 of scale or a body attached to the Ministry of public administrations, administrative situation of active duty-bound in the General Administration of the State.
b) have recognized, at least two years old in the service of the General Administration of the State.
c) possess an excellent knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.
d) may not participate in this program who have double nationality, Spanish and American, or those aimed at the United States of America, nor who enjoyed previously a Fulbright grant for expansion of postgraduate studies. Nor may be benefiting those people that if any of the circumstances specified in article 13.2 of law 38/2003 of 17 November.
the duration of the scholarship will be one academic year and will begin in 2015. In any case it will be more than 12 months and the deadline for completion is December 31, 2016.
